Responsibilities Help manage and supervise the daily operations of the cattle division, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols Oversee feeding, health monitoring, breeding, and general care of livestock Manage maintenance and repair of farm equipment, machinery, and tools such as tractors, irrigation systems, welding equipment, and power tools Coordinate with team members to ensure proper handling of animals using safe techniques for animal handling and heavy lifting Implement health and safety standards across the division while maintaining detailed records of animal care and operational activities Conduct regular inspections of farm infrastructure including fencing, greenhouses (if applicable), irrigation systems, and storage facilities Train and supervise staff on equipment operation (forklifts, heavy machinery) as well as best practices in farming, horticulture, and animal management Requirements Proven supervising experience within agricultural or livestock environments Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, equipment repair, welding, and maintenance Strong background and focus on cattle care; equine or other livestock experience is a plus Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other power tools safely and efficiently Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform tasks requiring stamina throughout the workday Basic math skills for record keeping and operational calculations Excellent animal handling skills combined with a commitment to animal welfare standards Familiarity with farming or agriculture industry regulations and safety procedures Join our team at Bottomley Cattle to lead a dynamic cattle division where your expertise will make a tangible impact!
