This position is best suited for someone who takes pride in the farming lifestyle, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a hands-on, hardworking environment. Position Overview The ranch consists of approximately 1,100 acres of deeded ground, with the majority under irrigation, including pivots, wheel lines, and hand lines. This is a working farm with a small cattle herd (~50 head). This is a full-time position with hours that vary seasonally. Applicants must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and be able to adapt to the ever changing workload. Key Responsibilities .Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Ranch Owner regarding daily operations and priorities .Manage and maintain irrigation systems (gravity flow irrigation, main line / riser maintenance) .Perform fence repair and general facility maintenance .Operate ranch equipment and carry out routine maintenance and repairs .Mix and apply herbicides for weed control .Run ranch-related errands and assist with supplies and deliveries .Assist with livestock care, including feeding in both feedlot and pasture settings, and managing mineral programs .Monitor herd health, identify illness, and perform doctoring as needed Qualifications .Prior farming/ranching experience required .Strong working knowledge of irrigation systems, including gravity flow, pivots, wheel lines, hand lines, and mainline/riser operation, along with maintenance and repairs .Experience handling livestock and working cattle independently, including doctoring .Familiarity with equipment operation related to farming, haying, and harvesting .Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills .Ability to work long hours in physically demanding conditions .Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented What We Offer .Competitive compensation based on experience .On-site housing negotiable .Opportunity to be part of a progressive, detail-focused farming and ranching operation .A hands-on role with responsibility and variety throughout the year How to Apply Please submit a résumé outlining your relevant experience to: fryinpanangus@yahoo.com 1899 visitors have viewed this ad
