"Journey" has sired many outstanding prospects for our breeding program over the years. We have kept many of his daughters. You won’t find another grulla with a performance pedigree like his! Some notable sires that run through his blood include Shining Spark, Reminic, Hollywood Dun It, Bueno Chexnic, Genuine Doc and Mr Diamond Dude. He has heavy bone, muscle, super feet, and a gorgeous head! He stamps his foals with his good looks and quiet demeanor. His foals are very trainable and athletic, just very easy to get along with all around.



Journey spent over a year in training before being exposed to mares. His happy place is working the pastures whether roping calves, sorting, or moving the cows home. However he has not been worked in 2 years since we have several using horses here at the ranch that need miles. Journey has only pasture bred, covering up to 15 mares per season. We have never collected him. We are expecting 6 foals sired by him this May and we will be keeping his daughters.



Journey is a "ranch" horse and has lived out on big pasture since 2021 with our other stallions and colts. He is at the peak of his rein, but gets along very well with all of the other boys. I honestly don’t know if he would transition well to being a stall horse again and frankly, I don’t want that kind of life for him. He is an easy keeper, stays fat on good hay, and lives out in the harsh South Dakota elements 365 days a year. He is in amazing pasture condition and is ready to breed.
