Luna is the whole package! This is a top notch mare ready to excel any direct you choose. She’s a gorgeous 9 yr old mare in the prime of her life with color, confirmation, brains, great disposition, excellent papers and ton of talent. This is a super fun horse to ride.

She has been in professional training with me for just over two years and undoubtedly has been one of the most talented horses I’ve ever had the privilege of riding and training.

Luna is an exceptional mare in the prime of her life. She is an excellent ranch horse well seasoned in every aspect of ranch work from branding, sorting, plenty of roping cows and yearlings for doctoring or loading on the trailer. She’s done miles upon miles and miles of hard riding gathering cattle on the mountain or plains. She is has been my go to horse for any job needing done. You name it and she’s probably done it.

She is well started in the arena in breakaway, heeling, barrels and ranch rodeo. She is fancy broke with a very nice light handle, spins, rollbacks, easily catches both leads on cue, and can ride bridleless working off of leg cues and seat alone. She has been packed in the mountains as well as drug pack strings.

Last fall I decided to enter the local iron woman and ranch rodeo on her even though she hadn’t been to the arena in a year and a half and even going without a tune up she secured second in the iron woman and first place in the open ranch rodeo.

She has in no way offered to buck or be be dangerous in any way. My 7 yr old son has ridden her several times to move cattle and I’ve used her for many clients, friends and family who are intermediate riders and she has done nothing less than wonderful but has been ridden consistently by me otherwise. Ideally we would like to see her go to a home where she can reach her full potential with an experienced rider because she’s just got too much talent to waste.

She is easy to catch anywhere and hop on bareback and wrangle the horses in. She will take a beating from an angry cow and is unphased. She absolutely excels under pressure and when the shit hits the fan she puts on her best performances. She truly craves challenges while taking it all in stride calmly and professionally.

She’s been my mount at the reenactment of the Battle of Little Bighorn where we’ve had to rescue riders out of the river and escort un rational horses off the battle field during the reenactment. She’s quiet as can be downtown Denver for the St Patrick’s Day parade carrying a green rider.

She is sounds as can be and easy to shoe.

If I was to say she had any holes at all it would be just that if allowed to she can get lonely for her buddies and bored when not challenged enough and will fake spook from time to time.
