Description:
We purchased this filly from the famed Fort Ranch in northern Utah as a weanling. She is a unique color being a palomino with a dorsal strip and strips on her legs. I’m sure if you decided to breed her, there would be a high chance for a dun foal. A quick google search will tell you a lot about her breeding as well as the ranch she comes from. Their horses are known for their cow sense and in my opinion the best trait the horses le4arn from that ranch is how to live. They are born out on the side of the mountain in the rocks and in the elements. They know how to handle themselves in the mountains. We have used this filly guiding trophy hunts this fall. She has been in some nasty downfall, and in the steep country. She has packed elk and deer out, as well as had the packsaddle and panniers loaded down with camp. She is gentle enough for experienced kids to ride her, but you definitely will not be the last horse at the top of the mountain, she has a lot of energy. We have tracked the lead steer with her and also helped push cows. She is good to drag things with the rope and is really starting to turn around when being ridden.
