You’ll work with top‑quality seedstock, help maintain animal health and performance, and ensure day‑to‑day operations run smoothly. RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead and mentor a crew of 3–4 team members to maintain a positive, high‑performing work environment. - Oversee daily cattle processing, including sorting, tagging, weighing, and accurate data entry. - Prepare seedstock for sale through fertility testing, record management, and presentation readiness. - Monitor animal health daily through pen riding, timely treatment decisions, and clear communication with management. - Support feedlot operations by assisting with cattle flow, treatments, and general livestock handling tasks. - Safely operate and maintain equipment such as loaders and other machinery essential to daily operations. - Ensure accurate inventory, animal identification, and movement tracking across all seedstock and feedlot cattle. - Collaborate closely with division managers to keep cattle work efficient, timely, and aligned with operational goals. QUALIFICATIONS - Degree in Animal Science, Ag Business, or equivalent hands‑on cattle experience. - Strong working knowledge of cattle handling, health, nutrition, genetics, and feedlot operations. - Proven ability to make sound decisions quickly and maintain accuracy in fast‑paced environments. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with veterinarians, managers, and team members. - Demonstrated leadership abilities, including coaching, team building, and promoting a positive culture. - Highly organized, self‑directed, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. - Competent with livestock record‑keeping software and basic Microsoft Office programs. - Physically able to meet the demands of cattle work, including lifting, walking, and equipment operation.
