If your idea of the perfect trail ride is going slow and steady, and being safe is important, then this is the horse for you. Starr is a 13 year old chocolate palomino paint gelding, 15hh with tons of shape and color and a beautiful white mane and tail. You couldn’t ask for a better horse to ride out on the ranch or on the trails, and the best part is he is safe for just about anyone. His previous owner was a 68 year old woman who rode him on trail rides all over Texas, and he is currently being ridden by a 74 year old man. Starr has been on large, multi day trail rides, has been ridden on the highway, and has been around wagons and nothing bothers him. He has also carried a flag in the grand entries and packed beginners around. He is quiet and good minded, not getting spooked or scared easily. Starr rides on a loose rein, never going any faster than you ask him to. He prefers to walk and do a little trotting, but will step it up if you really want him to. He has a very good direct rein and stops easily, and is good on both leads. Starr has a very smooth trot you could sit to all day long. He crosses water with no problem, and will go up, over or through anything you ask him to. He has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and has very good ground manners. Starr is very easy to catch and loves attention, is perfect for the shoer, and loads and hauls well. He is solid and safe, and just looking for a new family to enjoy all that he has to offer.
