Description:
Big Black is a grade, 9yo ranch gelding, weighing 1300lbs, and stands at 15.2hh that has been one of my personal go-to’s for several years. He’s a finished pickup/ranch/rope horse that the whole family can enjoy for years to come. He is extremely tough, resilient, and willing to get the job done at all costs. The trust we have in this horse is hard to match and will be hard, if ever, to replace. He’s seen every side of ranching, rodeoing, and trail riding. Big Black is a true all-around horse that brings joy to all that ride him, and many have, from my wife and kids to judges at rodeos needing a flag horse, to kids needing mounted at brandings. He’s picked up rodeos from the high school-professional level. Travels well, been loaded in a dark trailer more than a lit one, and great with other horses. Stands like a statue to shoe/trim and has tough enough feet that can go barefoot or shod. We will be uploading more video on him between now and sale time come May 2026.
