This gorgeous coming 5-year-old mare is 15.1 hands tall and weighs about 1,200 lbs. She is sound, sane, currently barefoot, perfect to handle on the ground and about as bombproof as any horse can get. Aside from her fabulous mind she is strikingly beautiful, turning heads everywhere she goes and garnishing compliments from everyone she meets. Autumn is the first one to meet you at the pasture gate, she is low to middle on the pecking order, and she can be stalled if needed. She will load into any trailer, good for the farrier and will stand tied all day long. Autumn is “fancy broke” and loves arena work as well as riding out. She is very responsive to your aids and queues and is light in the bridle with beautiful self-carriage. Autumn has a big floaty ground covering trot and is very balanced at the canter. She can pick up both leads with ease from a halt. She can leg-yield at the trot, side pass, stop, backup, spin both directions and is closing in on the flying changes. She ground ties, stands while being mounted, will drag a log or tire and carry a flag, you can swing a rope or shoot a gun off her, she will cross bridges and water with ease and has no issues opening various types of gates. She is fearless and will go over or through anything you point her at, she will walk over tarps, through tires, pool noodles, cowboy curtains and other “scary” things. She has been ridden in parades and has successfully competed in and won multiple trail horse challenges and obstacle competitions with little preparation. She has won these competitions based on both speed and horsemanship, by performing each obstacle smoothly and efficiently with zero faults. She is safe around vehicles, farm equipment, dogs and other farm animals. Autumn has also been hauled to and competed in many dressage and jumping shows all over the state of Wyoming and Montana. She has been showing at Training Level in dressage and has been consistently earning scores in the high 60’s and low 70’s, winning many blue ribbons and high-point titles. She is ready to move up to First Level next season. She is also easily jumping both stadium and cross country jumps up to 2ft 6in with scope to go higher, she has never refused a jump. Autumn has also successfully and competitively competed in a few Ranch Riding and All-Around horse show competitions. She has all the experience, skills and potential to take any rider, young or old, experienced equestrian or complete beginner, far in the show ring no matter the discipline they chose to ride. Autumn is also a seasoned trail, hunting and working ranch horse. She is happy to ride out alone or in a group, she is brave enough to lead but content enough to follow. Autumn can be ponied along and packed, or she can be the one to lead the pack string or pony the younger horses. Autumn can move out and cover ground when needed and has the energy and drive to go all day long, but she will never rush home. Autumn loves rounding up and pushing cows and has participated in quite a few cattle drives and brandings. She is always ready and willing to go to work and enjoys having a job. She loves to please and always tries hard to do her best for you. She is a versatile, surefooted, sweet-natured horse with a heart of gold and personality to boot.
