"Slim" is a 2014 AQHA Palomino Gelding. First things first, he is absolutely beautiful! If you like a pretty deep colored Palominos, Do Not Overlook "Slim". With names on his papers such as Shining Spark, Freckles Playboy, Peptobonsmal, and Doc’s Hickory he was bound to be a nice horse, and that he is! "Slim" has been there done that when it comes to being a ranch horse. From Long Hard Big Circle kind of Days to Tagging Calves, the Branding Trap, or Doctoring Yearlings he’s been exposed to it all. He is sure-footed in mountainous terrain, effortlessly navigates fallen timber, crosses water without hesitation, and maintains excellent awareness of his footing even at speed. I’ve roped about everything I can outside on him, and he handles it all well. He watches a cow and is willing to get in and move around while sorting. Opening and closing gates on him is no problem. "Slim" has been started both in the heading and heeling, roping the sled and slower controlled cattle in the arena. He Lopes good circles and has a big stop. "Slim" really wants to drive his hind end under him and stop! He is a athletic and talented horse. He has a big motor and is best with a job. "Slim" is safe but not currently being advertised as a ’kids’ horse. "Slim" stands at 15hh and is an easy keeper. He’s totally sound and good to shoe.
