Description:
Royal is a super gentle, easygoing 8 yr old AQHA quarter horse gelding. He has spent his entire life ranching. This life entails roping, doctoring, trailing cows, long days in the saddle etc… He spent 1 year working on a yearling operation high in the Absaroka Mountains, so he has lots of mountain experience. He has been hunting, packed on, lots of trail riding, used as a working horse and a kid’s horse. He neck reigns, works off of leg cues and can be ridden in a bit or just with a rope around his neck. We ride him mostly in a hackamore because he is just as responsive with it, as in a bit. He can ride at the front of the pack through rough trails or follow easily in the middle or back. He will go off alone, away from the group if asked, or just follow along. He is incredibly gentle, patient and easygoing. But when he needs to, he can get moving quick and get the job done. He has no spook, buck, or squirely-ness at all! He can babysit the little’s or inexperienced person or put someone on him that knows how to work and ride, and he can chase down the wayward calf or rope and doctor that big old bull. he doesn’t rush back to the barn when headed home or become barn sour when leaving. He is the perfect all-around ranch horse! Not only does he have extensive experience, he is also young, a beautiful color and has good conformation.
