Hi there,



We are a larger grazing company that does targeted grazing for fire prevention in California. Job locations range from the Bay Area to Los Angeles and everywhere in between. (Such as Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbra and Ventura). Nearly every location is within a couple miles of the coast.



Job pays $5,000 a month plus housing. (Trailer that moves from site to site with you)

You must have herder/shepherding experience. If not, internship is offered.

I would rather under sell then over sell the job:



Job duties are mainly:

Managing a herd of roughly 400 goats/sheep

Weedeating a couple hours a day

Setting up electric netting

Shuttling water

And of course caring for the animals

Must be a self motivator and regulating. There is a lot of autonomy with this position. Myself and the manager are always here to help but you run your own show.



Seasonal or year around available.

Upward mobility available to manager position as well as partial herd ownership. (ie you can own your own animals within a herd)
