Here’s the kind everybody goes looking for, but rarely find. Meet Cue Ball, a 2022 AQHA Registered Sorrel Gelding sired by the one and only- METALLICS MVP NCHA Open World Champion LTE $345,159 and out of an own daughter of QUEJANAISALENA-NCHA LTE $338,204. Cue Ball is ALL that and then some. Cowy, athletic, gentle, kind hearted, soft eyed, and talented! Cue started his riding career in a cutting program where he acquired all the mechanics/maneuvers on a cow and my goodness, did he pick up the right stuff. After that, he got some training in the Ranch Riding discipline where he learned body control, cadence, and timing. Since then, we have used Cue in our preconditioning feedyard and lightly started pen roping off of him. Wrap that all up and you’ve got a ‘Jack of all trades’ type of gelding. He’s a top notch prospect to take the rope horse route, but if you have no desire or interest in a rope horse, pick a discipline out of a hat, Cue Ball has potential in whatever is wrote down on that piece of paper. We can’t brag enough about this geldings’ mind. He has NEVER told us “no”, got mad, or been ill about anything we’ve asked of him. He’s got all the run, stop, stride, cowsense, and disposition you could ever ask for one to have. We’ve loaded trucks on him, sorted, pulled sick cattle, gathered yearlings off wheat, whatever we’ve asked him to help us do, he’s done it on a loose rein, low headed, and efficiently every time. Cue Ball travels extremely smooth, has beautiful fluid transitions, and stays gentle no matter the time off. You can wind him up, call on him, ask him for his life, and the second you put your hand down…he shuts off like running water. Cue Ball stands 14.3 and weighs a full 1250 lbs. He’s got shape, substance, big bone, plenty of foot, and a head that could fit in a shoe box.
