Howdy!



We are currently seeking the perfect candidate to fill the role for a wrangler/ranch hand for a private property in the Big Horn Mountains just outside of Sheridan, Wy.



Horsemanship and congeniality are a must, as this role involves getting to know multiple families who own this property.



Responsibilities include but not limited to



• general wrangling duties; saddling horses for safe trail rides, taking out riders when demand warrants, care and feeding of the herd



• cleaning corral / tack / tack sheds



• working with a diverse set of members







The Wrangler / Ranch Hand must be comfortable and proficient at:



• saddling horses in western tack



• riding in a rocky mountainous terrain



• able to confidently ride a variety of horses



• evaluate a rider’s horseback riding capabilities & match



them to an appropriate horse and saddle for trail rides.







While the primary job of the Wrangler / Ranch Hand is managing safe corral operations, they also support Ranch Manager and Maintenance Foreman in ranch property and equipment



Maintenance. This includes but is not limited to:



• clearing trails



• pasture management



• assist the foreman on property projects and builds



• build and repair fencing



• Maintain ranch owned equipment and vehicles











This position includes a one-bedroom cabin with utilities and the position runs June- September. Pay is to be discussed.
