Frankie is an 8 year old grade gelding standing 14.3 hands tall who has proven himself to be the kind of dependable, all around horse everyone hopes to find. Raised by the same horseman until he was four years old, Frankie was started right and built on a solid foundation before eventually becoming a part of our family and being passed down to the youngest member. For the past four years, Frankie has been the trusted partner of Dixie, now eight years old, and has been used for just about everything imaginable. From play days and weekend fun to real ranch work and working cattle at the sale barn, Frankie has taken it all in stride. He’s even helped teach a few kids how to rope, proving time and time again that he’s patient, forgiving, and steady. Frankie is the go to horse for both kids and weekend cowboys alike because of his extremely gentle nature and dependable mindset. He has never offered to spook, buck, bolt, or bite, and he handles new situations with quiet confidence. No matter what kind of day you throw at him, Frankie stays level headed and willing. He gets along well with other horses, settles in easily wherever he’s turned out, and carries a natural feel for cattle from his days being used as a ranch and head horse.
