Description:
Diego is a half Friesian, half Quarter horse with a stunning Grulla color, zebra striped legs and a dorsal stripe across his back. We have had the privilege of knowing Diego since the day he was born. He has always been a friendly horse, very respectful and willing to learn. Diego is very well trained to ride under both English and Western saddle. He knows his leads, effortlessly picking up the correct one and even does flying lead changes. He was worked a lot in the arena, trotting and loping circles, jumping, side passing, etc. But also got a nice variety of riding on gravel roads, state routes, rail road tracks and such. He is traffic safe. Diego is used to riding in the woods, on trails, through creeks and has been ridden with groups of horses. He is also trained to pull the carriage which is a nice change of discipline for him. He is easy to catch in the pasture, well mannered in the barn, stands to tack or hitch, lowers his head to bridle and he will also side pass to the mounting block for ease of mounting. He is easy to handle for bathing, shoeing and clipping. Currently he is shod on all fours and is wearing a size 4 shoe.
