Description:
PC Suns N Roses (aka “Rip”) is a 2015 stallion who was purchased from the Cowan T4 Horse Program -the owners and breeders of the Hall of Fame stallion Sun Frost. We have used Rip on our mares for the past 6 breeding seasons, and he has produced remarkable foals with a gentle disposition, athleticism, cow and eye appeal.



Rip is extremely well-minded, good boned, and athletic. His sire, PC Frosty Rare Bar was a nice barrel horse himself and has produced 1D barrel horses as well as top notch rope horses. Rip’s colts have plenty of speed and agility, and they are versatile enough to excel in multiple performance areas as well as being an asset to any ranching operation.



Rip had about 120 days of riding when he was a four-year old, but he has only been used for breeding purposes for several years. He hung his head in a feed trough, we believe, and he has slight nerve damage and his lip droops on his left side, but this does not affect his ability as a breeding stallion. Each year, we turn him out with mares on the 1st of April and pick him up the 1st of July. He is trained to mount a dummy for collection, and we have pulled him out of the mares during the breeding season and hand bred mares when needed and then turned him back out with his herd.

He has been a valuable resource to our breeding program, but we have retained so many fillies out of him that we are needing to go a different direction on the stud side.
