Description:
We are looking for a packer-wrangler for our backcountry outfit in Montana. We are a legacy Bob Marshall Wilderness outfitter providing summer packtrips and fall hunting trips in the rugged heart of the Bob. We use horses and mules extensively. This position is primarily responsible for stock care: feeding (we loose herd the stock each day for feeding purposes), handling, saddling, packing, and transporting gear between campsites. We have 6-12 guests on each trip. Our trips rely on 20-35 head of stock (riding + packing). We are a small team (2-3 people), in a highly collaborative environment. We all love to be outdoors and hands-on most of the time. Must have stock experience and be confident and able to move quickly to catch and saddle large numbers of stock.
