JOB OVERVIEW:

Large cattle operation is seeking a Cowboy experienced with cattle handling and husbandry. This person is responsible for heard health, grazing management, cattle inventory, fencing, water management, and mineral program.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Able to ride, rope and doctor cattle in open by yourself

-Ability to receive and ship cattle

-Ability to sort cattle by weight

-Ability to identify sick cattle

-Ability to manage pastures, feed availability

-Ability to calve heifers/cows and assist when needed

-Ability to monitor and manage mineral program

-Ability to repair and build fence

-Ability to operate equipment

PROVIDED:

-Hourly pay with overtime

-House and utilities

-Ranch truck and trailer

-Place to keep ranch horses, tack

-After one year, one-week paid vacation

-After 60 days eligible for health insurance



EXPERIENCE:

-3 years ranch work experience

-Work outside in year-round weather

-Flexibility to work weekends when business needs require

-Ability to operate apps on phone for different information systems in use on the ranch

-High school diploma or GED

-Valid driver’s license
