Description:
Location: Arvada, WY (remote approximately 1 hour from grocery stores and fuel)



Employment Type: Seasonal; Potential for Full-Time



Start Date: April 1st



End Date: mid – November



Schedule – 6 days a week



Compensation:

Wages – Depending on experience, opportunities to learn for the right individual, housing (no pets), utilities & Wi-Fi, beef



We are a family-owned cow/calf and yearling operation in NE Wyoming with an opportunity for a seasonal ranch hand. The position could turn into a full-time opportunity if it is a good fit for both of us. Our goal is to implement practices that result in healthier rangelands through the use of properly managed livestock. We believe in constantly working to improve our stewardship of land and livestock. All cow work is done horseback. Dogs are allowed, but used on livestock at our discretion. No dogs allowed in houses.



Duties will include

Calving heifers horseback, moving & monitoring health on cow/calf pairs and yearlings, monitoring forage & implementing managed grazing, fence repair and maintenance, construction of new fence, maintaining and constructing water systems.



The successful candidate will have ranching experience, be competent on a horse and have good horsemanship skills, have experience in or willingness to learn low stress livestock handing, have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated and have the desire to learn. Will also need a valid driver’s license with no history of DUI.
