About Little Belt Cattle Company

Misson - “To create and promote healthy, high quality, sustainable Montana beef to America.”

Little Belt Cattle Company is a working cattle operation in central Montana focused on low-stress livestock handling, and responsible land stewardship. We value individuals who take ownership of their work, solve problems independently, and understand that livestock and land management do not operate on a traditional 9–5 schedule.

This position is well-suited for military veterans and individuals with agricultural backgrounds and a strong desire to learn who are comfortable working independently, assuming responsibility, and operating in a remote environment.

This is a non-riding position. Limited riding opportunities may exist; preference may be given to candidates with some horse experience.

We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Seasonal Ranch Hand to support day-to-day ranch operations. This is an entry-level position; however, applicants must have a background in agriculture or relevant fields and be capable of working independently for extended periods. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs

Walking long distances over uneven terrain

Standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing for extended periods

Safely mounting and dismounting equipment and vehicles

Working long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, dust, and precipitation)

Safety Expectations

Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements

Safely operate all equipment, tools, and vehicles

Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed

Maintain situational awareness when working around livestock, machinery, and uneven terrain

Contribute to a culture of safety, responsibility, and accountability
