Electrified Yankee, also known as Rio, is a striking sorrel rabicano gelding with bold markings and undeniable looks. His distinctive blazed face and chrome on all four feet make him stand out in any pen. He carries a long, pretty mane and tail and presents himself with confidence every time he enters the arena. Dual registered with AQHA and APHA, Rio is an NRHA money earner with LTE of $5,916.29 and continues to build momentum in his show career.

Rio is sired by Electric Snow (LTE $100,336.12; progeny earnings $560,213.86) and out of Yankee Tickets, whose progeny earnings total $42,219.49, with Rio and one other foal currently of show age. He spent his training time in Wade McDonald’s program and has shown successfully in the L1, L2, and L3 Open divisions. He earned his money at two of the most competitive shows in the region, the NRHA 100X Reining Classic and the NRHA Futurity. Rio showcases fast and controlled circles, huge stops, strong spins, and easy lead changes. He has a cool presence in the show pen and naturally draws attention with his style and expression.

Outside the arena, Rio is just as enjoyable. He carries the American Flag, gathers cattle, and will check the mailbox with ease. He rides quietly and confidently on the trails and obstacle course. He willingly crosses bridges, goes through water, and handles steep embankments. He has a beautiful extended trot on a draped rein and transitions down smoothly when asked. With his sweet disposition and easygoing nature, Rio is a joy to have around the barn. He is competitive in the reining pen today and could step into ranch riding or ranch trail and bring home top placings all weekend.
