Description:
If you need one that is guaranteed to be old man gentle and broke to do every job on the ranch, then take a look at Spirit. He is currently being ridden and used by a 74 year old man, and he is about as honest and broke as they come. Spirit is a gorgeous 13 year old buckskin gelding, 14.3hh and close to 1300 pounds. He has a ton of bone, all the shape you could ask for and 4 black feet. He has been used on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, including dragging calves, doctoring cattle out in the pasture, and sorting pairs. He is strong to the horn and could pull a house down if you needed him to. Spirit has been ridden the right way and is one hand broke with an excellent handle, a light mouth, and a very smooth trot you could sit to all day long. He’s been there, done that and not spooked or bothered by anything. You can saddle him up on a cold morning and hop on knowing you will not get bucked off. Spirit is good on both leads, will sidepass, spin around and work a gate. He is an excellent trail horse as well and will walk quietly down the trails and keep you safe and comfortable. Spirit will cross water with no problems, go through tall brush, and is very sure footed. He has excellent ground manners, is easy to catch, good for the shoer, stands quietly tied, and loads and hauls well. He will ride out alone as well as with a group, will happily lead or follow, and has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $12500.
