My name’s Simon and I am 19, seeking work in exchange for room and board for me & my horse (+ a cat if that’s cool) near humboldt county CA. I’ll be going to college for wildlife ecology & conservation at cal poly humboldt. i’m looking for a place for at least a year or more, so I could work full time in the summer of 2027 if you wanted. i’d be bringing my 4 year old mustang which I have trained from the ground up. I also rehabbed a ex buggy horse. i’ve worked with multiple mustangs. whatever you need me to do, ranch work, gardening, chores… etc. i feel comfortable working with any horse that is thrown at me, and pride myself on my ability to learn quickly and take any task asked of me on the chin. I have recently started sorting and love it. I worked as a stable hand for two years and can confidently do simple tasks like mucking, turning out, feeding, exercising, bucking hay, etc.



i’m just looking for some cheaper housing where i can be near my horse. i’m not living on campus my first two years due to my OCD (i promise it doesn’t effect my work ethic lol, if you have questions about it i don’t mind answering). i’m coming all the way from missouri so a set up like this would get me settled quick and i’d really appreciate it. thanks.
