Description:
Growing company is seeking an experienced cowboy to join our team to assist with management of several thousand yearlings and cows on ranches in the Bay Area of Northern California.

We do most of the cattle work horseback. Your time will be spent primarily with cattle but there will be some work on fence, corrals, and water infrastructure when cattle work is slow. Excellent horsemanship, roping, and cattle handling abilities are expected, as well as the capacity to shoe your own horses.

We are a small, family-owned company. We strive to value character as much as skill in our teammates, and we work hard to support each individual’s long-term career goals and personal growth.

This is a unique place to ranch. There is traffic, neighbors, and rules around how we operate on public leases. It is not a traditional ranching community. But for the right person, it offers access to all the creature comforts of town and the larger cultural events of the Bay Area – and is spitting distance to both skiing and surfing.

Families are encouraged. We will provide a comfortable house in or close to town – with schools and shopping minutes away.

Competitive salary based on experience, paid time off, health insurance, beef, health & fitness reimbursement, educational opportunities, and the potential to run cattle after 1 year with us.
