SOUTHERN AZ, MOUNTAIN LOCATION, EXPERIENCED HORSE & RANCH CARETAKER WANTED.

- cooler than Phoenix or Tucson, beautiful peaceful location

- we would like to find responsible, capable, honest folks to join us!

- small ranch seeking single or couple who have RECENT horsecare experience. We do not have ability to train other than how we do things here, and owner needs to work to be able to pay helpers

- part time work 20-25 hrs/wk feeding, manure removal, etc for equines and smaller animals, ranch maintenance, etc

- no riding involved

- you’ll need to be able to recognize illness, lameness, etc and perform basic first aid for equines

- must have your own reliable car/truck to get into town for your personal needs

- heavy lifting, working outside necessary, physical fitness is important

- we are at 5200 ft altitude, and it’s 1-3 hrs of manual labor daily, so please be realistic with physical abilities. Work requires that you can walk, use arms and hands, recognize color, have attention to detail, lift and carry bales of hay (100#) and feed bags (80#), bend, be able to listen/hear and follow directions

- nonsmokers only as we are in a high risk fire area

- there may be other work available such as cleaning an occasionally rented AirBnB, weedwacking, painting shelters,tractor work, and other jobs depending upon abilities

- lots of work in the community also

- we have full RV hookups for septic, 50 amp electric and water plus shared internet

- you would need to have a fully self contained RV or LQ trailer (no tents), which means you have your own bathroom, kitchen, etc. There is no housing in the community, you will need to reside onsite.

- RV housing may be available with a security deposit in advance

- no drugs, drama or heavy alcohol use
