Description:
Hello all, my fiancé and I are in search of a camp job preferably for a couple or a manager position and would like to preferably stay in the southwestern United States. I graduated from Des Moines high school in Des Moines, New Mexico in 2014. I started college at OPSU in Goodwell, Oklahoma in 2014 and graduated in December of 2017 with a bachelors of science in animal science in beef and equine production with an emphasis in livestock nutrition. During college I had two jobs, I worked at a sale barn in Texhoma, Oklahoma on Wednesdays and a feedyard four days a week at a yard near Hooker, Oklahoma. I started working for that feedlot February of 2015 as a pen rider four days a week. I worked at that feedyard for 3.5 years until May 2018. I was a pen rider there for 2.5 years at which point I started into their management trainee program for 6 months where I learned all the ins and outs of every aspect of the feedyard. Which included rationing feeds, putting together shipping lists, running a multitude of equipment and being proficient at using equipment, cattle health departments and every other department in a feedyard. After I completed the training, I became assistant manager to the cattle manager for 6 months. It was a 65,000 head yard at the time. I left that feedyard in May of 2018 as I got offered a job closer to home and family. In June of 2018 I started working for FNB New Mexico as an ag loan officer in Clayton, New Mexico. I was an ag loan officer there for a year and a half until the bank sold in October of 2019. My duties there was lending money to agricultural operations. In November of 2019 I went to work for a small feedyard and an outside yearling operation at Gruver, Texas as the cattle manager for a 10,000 head wagyu feedyard and we had roughly 2500 head outside high risk yearlings during the winter on wheat pasture. I implemented my own doctoring protocols and receiving protocols that we had very high successful rates with. I worked there as the cattle manager for 2.5 years until August of 2021 as I was offered a ranch manager job. I started running their ranch near Boise City, Oklahoma September of 2021. It was a 35,000 acre ranch that had 500 mother cows and 200 heifers. We weaned all the calves on the place. During the winter we ran the majority of the cattle scattered out across corn stalks and also took in 1500 head of yearlings for wheat pasture. I then went to work for the Diamond A ranch in Seligman, Arizona running and maintaining a cow camp. I left the Diamond A due to my father having health issues but he has since recovered and back to his old self. I’m currently managing a place for Rock Ridge Cattle Company taking care of cow calves on a lease place that has roughly 600 cows on 40,000 acres in very rough country and dayworking for a yearling operation that takes in yearlings in the summer. The reason I’m looking for something else is because neither one of these jobs has long term benefits to me in the fact that they are both very volatile in terms of how leases go. Looking for a dog friendly Christian outfit that will allow us to continue our lifestyle. I pride myself on my horsemanship and cattle handling skills. Horses are a big part of our life and how we work. I grew up ranching on my parents ranch in the Northeastern corner of New Mexico North of Clayton and other ranches my dad managed. Extremely proficient welder and fabricator. Excellent equipment handling skills and knowledge of mechanics. Very comprehensive knowledge of cattle medicines and antibiotics and very attentive to spotting and treating sick cattle and pride myself on healthy cattle. Ability to manage, oversee and treat employees more than just employees but as a respectable asset. Pride myself on my low stress cattle handling abilities. Very knowledgeable in computers and computer programs as well as creating spreadsheets and data inputs. Very attentive to record keeping.

My fiancé grew up on a cow calf outfit that runs roughly 1500 cows and calves out 300 heifers and is a huge asset in her understanding, proficiency and efficiency when it comes to cow/calf and heifers. Very proficient horsewoman and has worked for both reigning and cutting trainers. If you have any questions feel free to text, email or call me. I don’t always have the best cell service if you’re not able to get a hold of me. Thank you for taking the time to read this. My cell is 580 517 1282
