The beautiful Rocky Mountain Front is the perfect setting for a seasonal job, running mid-May through end of September. Daily tasks include but are not limited to: - Prepare three family style meals a day for approximately 20 guests and 10 staff members in a concise and timely manner. - Cook high-quality, well-rounded meals that a variety of guests and taste palettes should enjoy - Adjust cooking in accordance with dietary restrictions and allergies of guests - Develop a weekly menu in conjunction with ranch management - Create weekly list of needs for the meals ie; weekly shopping lists - Manage food inventory to prevent waste and unnecessary expense - Prepare food using best practices for food safety and handling - Maintain a clean kitchen and dining area, including equipment and utensils - Cook in a chuck wagon and on open flame BBQ for some meals - Keep inventory of necessary equipment and supplies needed for the kitchen - Report any damages or repairs needed to ranch management - Assist with other ranch projects as needed including but not limited to weeding, painting, general ranch upkeep projects All staff are expected to: - Interact with guests and other employees in polite and professional manner. Guest experience and safety of those guests, staff, and horses are of the utmost importance. - Be a team player and perform tasks when needed in all areas of the ranch, even if not specific to individual job duties. - Keep appearance neat and well-groomed and dress appropriately for the western experience. - Uphold the values and mission statement of the ranch and the guest ranch community. Helping guests have a relaxing week and memorable experience that makes them want to come back year after year. Ideal candidates are willing to work hard, put the guests first, and be a delight to be around. Previous cooking experience is preferred. Preference will be given to individuals who can work the entirety of the season. Compensation: Compensation will be determined based on experience.
