Description:
Commercial cow calf operation in South East Montana looking for a long term ranch hand. (this is not a management position)

requirements that are a must

-Honesty

-Self starter

-Horse back riding skills and a using horse/s (max of 4 allowed)

-confident working alone or with a team

-care or give a darn about the livestock

-willingness to do the mundane(fixing fence, operate haying equipment, feed cattle, ect.)

-willingness to learn if you don’t know

-able to work in extremes



Bonus skills but not necessary

-mechanical

-welding

-carpentry



We do most our cow work horse back but this is not a horseback/ cowboy only job. Haying, calving heifers, fixing fence, building/home maintenance, and pipeline maintenance all part of the job. If you are competent on a horse we are glad to teach you cattle/ stockmanship and the equipment end of it. Some of our summer units can only be accessed by horse and are rough. We need someone who gives a darn about the livestock and will pay attention or let us know if they notice something out of the ordinary.



A very nice 3 bed room 2 bath house, A personal barn, pasture for a max of 4 horses, and a beef provided. Salary is DOE
