This is a horseback operation but is open to someone who prefers limited riding. The role is varied and includes cattle care, equipment operation, feeding, calving support, haying, and general ranch maintenance. Main Duties & Responsibilities Perform daily cattle checks across lots and summer/winter pastures, monitoring cattle health, behavior, feed intake, and water systems using pickup, side-by-side, or horseback as needed Pull, treat, and doctor cattle as needed (overall treatment level is low) Move, sort, and handle cattle calmly and efficiently in pens, alleys, and pastures Assist with calving, pairing out cows and calves, and moving pairs to pasture Support branding, processing, and shipping/load-outs Operate feed truck, tractor, processor, loader, and other ranch equipment Utilize a computer/app-based feeding system (simple and easy to learn) Assist with ration delivery, bunk checks, and general feedlot upkeep Participate in haying operations including swathing, baling, hauling, and moving stack yards Operate and maintain modern ranch equipment (tractors, loaders, balers, mowers, skid steers, etc.) Perform basic mechanical tasks such as greasing, fueling, routine checks, and light repairs Assist with fencing projects, water line checks, tank maintenance, and electric fence work Maintain corrals, pens, feed alleys, working facilities, and shop areas Qualifications Experience working on a cow-calf ranch and/or feedlot Reliable with a steady work ethic and positive attitude Comfortable around cattle and equipment (or willing to learn quickly) Basic mechanical ability strongly preferred NO smoking in equipment, vehicles, or housing Pay & Package $3,000–$4,000/month, depending on experience Schedule: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility depending on workload, weather, and season Opportunity to run a small number of personal cattle may be available for the right individual once established with the operation On-site housing provided (2 bed / 2 bath, partially furnished) Ranch vehicle provided for ranch use Horses may be kept at the house (personal horses allowed if feed is covered) Typically 2–3 working horses provided/allowed Beef available Apply Here: https://recruitcrm.io/apply/17688532691290075108tMK Or call (530)788-5901 Email Jessica.Simonson@talentsolutionsco.com 491 visitors have viewed this ad
