Lay your eyes on this cute 14.3h, 5-year-old bay tobiano gelding. He is super gentle, hasn’t offered to do anything bad, and is easy to ride. Tater Tot lopes around the arena both ways and picks up his leads. He’s easily guided down the trails one handed and rides where you ask on a loose rein. Tater Tot doesn’t mind riding in a group or out alone. He crosses all the trail obstacles with ease from water, logs, thick brush and handles rough terrain with careful foot placement. We have ridden him by the highway, gathered cattle on him, and started roping the dummy. The best thing about Tater Tot is his willing to please, capability to learn new things, easy going personality and athleticism. If you want to take him English, he has a cute jog, smooth lope and would really excel under English tack. Tater Tot has mainly been a family horse for the past few years which gives him his kind gentle nature, but he has more ability than a trail horse. We have been fine tuning his training, teaching him to move off your legs, softening him in the bridle, open and closes gates, and desensitizing him to tarps, ropes, flags and slickers. Tater Tot is perfect for the whole family where the kids can enjoy him, mom can ride him, then dad can use him on the ranch or roping pen. He is a true all-around horse.
