This is “PHOENIX”, a spectacular, seasoned, solid, and experienced DARK BAY MORGAN QUARTER HORSE CROSSBRED GELDING that is broke to ride and drive. He stands 15.2 hands tall and is 5 years old. This nice gelding is quiet, safe, honest, predictable, and dependable. He has been used for packing wild game out of the mountains on hunting excursions, he has been driven through the cross-country driving courses, been shown in the hitch classes, driven to town, ridden English and Western in and out of the arena, and he has been trail ridden in all sorts of terrains. He has been in the steep mountains, through the deep waters, through the rocky stream beds, and he has been in the pastures to check cattle. He is sure-footed and knows how to hold back when going down steep hills. This gelding aims to please; he will go anywhere you point him under saddle or harness, and it won’t get too deep or too steep for him. He is confident, rides alone bravely, and performs well in a group. He doesn’t mind leading the pack or bringing up the rear. He is constant, steady, and true. This gelding will ride relaxed on a loose rein and will not go any faster than you ask of him. He drives for novice and beginner teamsters. Schoolchildren have driven him to school without issues. He is easy to stop, turn, and maneuver in tight spots. He stands tied quietly; he stands to harness, hitch, tack, mount, and groom. This gelding is accustomed to children running around the barn; he is fine with dogs trailing his heels, and he is relaxed and calm in new, unfamiliar situations. He is the type of horse that loves attention and stays quiet even when his surroundings become chaotic. He has been ridden and driven on the moonlight rides. He is a versatile, docile, well-rounded young gelding with extensive experience and remains gentle. He genuinely loves people and has a pleasant personality. He gets along well with other horses.
