Description:
Broken Box Ranch is seeking a long-term full-time ranch hand.



The ranch is located approximately 30 miles South of Cody, NE. We are a family owned/operated commercial cow-calf operation. The vast majority of cattle work is done horseback. We bale roughly 3,000 large round bales every summer to feed through the winter. The ranch also has many miles of barbed wire fence to be maintained. In summary, you can be expected to do all things typical of a cow-calf ranch that endures four seasons. While much time will be spent horseback, much more will be spent fencing, haying, feeding, and performing labor intensive work.



Housing is provided (3 bed/1 bath, utilities, no indoor dogs please) and the location is very rural. The ranch is 65 miles from the closest grocery store. Salary will depend on experience. Prior experience preferred but we happily teach those who want to learn.



Position available immediately, preferred if candidate starts before or at the beginning of March.
