Description:
Lizzie is a 17.3hh Belgian mare that rides and drives. She is 14 years old and kid and beginner friendly. Lizzie originally came from the Amish, and is broke as can be. She has been ridden extensively in the arena and out on trails, as well as down the road and in traffic. Lizzie has a good handle and is light mouthed and easy to steer, with a good stop. She has mainly been ridden by my 10 year old son, and even if she sits for weeks she saddles up gentle and doesn’t need to be warmed up before being ridden. Lizzie will go anywhere you point her, will go through tall brush and over logs, and is very sure footed. She stands quietly to be saddled and mounted, and is very easy to bridle. She rides out great by herself or with a group, and isn’t mare-ish. Lizzie will walk, trot and lope easily, and is very athletic for her size. We have ridden her English, western and bareback, but do not own a buggy so we have not pulled anything with her. Lizzie is sound with no issues or maintenance needed, has been wormed and has a new coggins, and will be getting teeth floated next week if not sold before.
