If you are looking for a safe and sound trail horse at a price that won’t break the bank, then check out Lefty. He is a 17 year old bay gelding, 14.2hh. Lefty came off of a ranch out in West Texas, where he had been used as a guest horse for visitors to the ranch. He is gentle and will not buck, rear, or take off, and stays the same no matter how often you ride him. Lefty doesn’t have a fancy handle and isn’t going to lope circles or open gates, but he will ride quietly down the trails and not get anyone hurt. He rides quietly on a loose rein and has a very smooth trot you could sit to all day long, and prefers to walk and trot over loping. Lefty is not barn sour or herd sour, and will ride out by himself or with a group of horses. He rides quietly out in the pasture, crosses water with no problems, and isn’t spooky.
