For a contract term of January 1-April 30, 2026 Eleven Fifteen Livestock LLC (EFL) will accept a maximum initial herd weight of: • 130,000 lbs of dry cows to calve April or later, at $1.30 per 1,000 lbs per day • OR 100,000 lbs of pairs or bred cows to calve before April, at $1.60 per 1,000 lbs per day Stocking rate recalculated 2-3x per year based on forage inventory and rainfall. We can continue the contract into the summer/long term as long as we work well together. Other ages/classes of cattle can be considered. Forage base is primarily stockpiled Old World Bluestem, with a small amount of Bermuda and native warm-season species. Water sources include ponds and wells. Pastures are largely flat with no man-made shelter. Pens and barn space is available in which to keep sick animals/struggling calves as needed. Have handling facility to work cattle. Services EFL includes in grass/care rate: • Every 2-4 days: o Herd will be rotated (using hotwire) to fresh forage to maintain maximum diet quality and variety o Feed, supplement, mineral, etc will be delivered to herd per owner’s instructions o Herd will be backfenced out of grazed areas to minimize exposure to parasites & feces o Health and performance monitoring (signs of illness/injury, manure consistency, BCS) • As needed/requested by herd owner: o Cattle will be counted regularly o Treatment of sick/injured animals o Transport of animals to vet clinic if needed o Make every reasonable effort to recover strays o Run herd through chute for routine management procedures o Ear-tagging new calves when it can be done safely o Other tasks associated with calving and/or breeding o Provide grazing, production and/or relevant expense records to owner Responsibilities of herd owner: • Pay EFL for services monthly as negotiated in contract • Cover cost of all supplemental feed, trucking, healthcare, mineral • Promptly arrange for the removal of any dangerous, unhealthy or fence-jumping animal as requested by EFL • If desired, carry livestock loss insurance against lightning, tornado, fire, rustling, etc. Posted 12-30-25 73 visitors have viewed this ad
