He stands 14.3 hands tall and weighs approximately 1,175 pounds. Tater is old-fashioned, one-hand broke, and extremely user-friendly. He has been used extensively in lesson programs for both youth and adults, including experience with autistic teenagers. Tater resides in Iowa in the summertime and lives in Florida in the winter. Tater has been ridden English and Western and is confident on any trail—water, ditches, and new environments do not bother him. He is not spooky and has no bad habits (no buck, bite, or kick). Tater stands quietly like a statue for mounting and dismounting from either the ground or a mounting block. He is easy to bridle, rides comfortably in a back cinch, and is 100% sound in mind, body, and spirit. He is very cowy, making him a great fit for a ranch or all-around family horse. He is accustomed to farm animals, dogs, wildlife, and heavy equipment such as tractors, skid loaders, and dump trucks. Tater is an easy keeper in both pasture and stall, gets along well in a herd, and hauls quietly next to anything.
