Description:
Markuson Ranch is interested in feeding an extra 200-250 cows for approximately 90 days. (Before they calve.)



We provide the forage and hay, you provide the cattle, supplements, and minerals. (Or buy the supplements and mineral from us at the same price we paid.)



Your cows will be well fed and taken care of. All the hay has been tested and will be initially rationed based on OSU’s recommended protein and energy requirements for third trimester pregnant cows, then adjusted using observation of consumption. Supplementation can be added if requested.



You don’t have to start a tractor every day. You don’t have to go chop ice. You can keep that hay you bought or put up for next year. You can go rope or vacation in Arizona for the winter, get those projects done that you never have time for, start a hobby, put more time and energy into your side job, or spend the winter in your La-Z-Boy. The options are endless.



The dates can be negotiable, but must be before calving. We have good, safe corrals for unloading and loading, and use low stress cattle management. We will provide hay and grazing, you provide mineral (or pay us for ours) and supplementation (or pay us for ours). The charge would be feed costs + the costs of any minerals or supplements you want us to add + a $1.35/hd/day yardage fee.
