We are currently looking for our next opportunity and are trying to stay somewhat anonymous to avoid causing any issues with our current employer. The only reason we are seeking a change is due to numerous promises that were made but never followed through on. We are open to temporary work, but we are ultimately hoping to find an outfit where we can settle long-term—somewhere we can eventually start a family and stay for many years. We want to be clear that we are still interested even if there is only a position available for the husband at this time. Housing would be needed. We work very well together, leave any disagreements at home, and operate professionally at all times. We are big horse people and make a strong team when starting and finishing colts. I typically put the first rides on, and my husband takes them further and finishes them out. Between the two of us, we’ve helped our current employer make a significant amount of money this season selling horses we started and developed. Competent in maintaining machinery and recognizing mechanical issues early. • Cattle Doctoring: Experienced doctoring cattle efficiently using a horse and rope. Knowledgeable in selecting appropriate medications based on the condition being treated. • Low-Stress Stockmanship: Skilled in moving and handling cattle on foot or horseback using low-stress principles influenced by Bud Williams’ methods. • Calving: Experienced in all aspects of calving, including identifying problem births early, assisting difficult calvings, pulling calves when needed, caring for newborns, and recognizing and treating common post-calving issues in both cows and calves. • Carpentry & Tool Use: Hands-on carpentry experience with efficient use of a wide range of hand and power tools. • Irrigation: Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and willing to learn more. • Tack Repair & Leatherwork: Proficient in tack repair, including building and maintaining the saddle used daily. • Work Ethic & Adaptability: Strong work ethic with the ability to learn new skills quickly, stay adaptable, and take pride in doing work correctly. 495 visitors have viewed this ad
