This temporary, full-time position runs roughly January 20 to March 20 with flexible start dates between January 20 and February 1. If you thrive on quiet nights, fresh air, and the reward of seeing healthy calves hit the ground, this could be your kind of job. We’re looking for a skilled and dependable individual to take charge of the calving barn overnight and help ensure every calf gets the best possible start. What You’ll Do Monitor calving cows throughout the night and assist as needed Track calving records accurately and consistently Assess weather and pen conditions and bring pairs inside when needed Care for any sick or weak calves carried over from the day shift Clean and maintain calving facilities and pens Support the day crew by ensuring all nighttime calving duties are covered Expect 12-hour shifts, 5 to 6 nights per week during peak season. Nights can get busy with 20 to 30 calves born, but you’ll join a knowledgeable team that will train you in SITZ protocols and support you every step of the way. Who You Are Experienced or knowledgeable in cattle calving and newborn care Comfortable riding horses and using ATVs to move pairs safely Able to work independently and recognize when to call for help Physically fit, organized, and attentive to detail Serious about keeping accurate records and doing things the right way  Why You’ll Love It You’ll work with one of the most respected ranches in the Angus breed alongside a crew that values teamwork, stockmanship, and doing good work the right way.
