Hondo is a rare TRUE BLUE ROAN Draftcross gelding! He is coming 6 years old and is a very stocky built horse. Hondo came from the same breeding farm that a lot of our draftcrosses come from and with that farm we find the constant quiet, gentle, laid back temperament that makes them such good family safe trail horses! Hondo is no exception to that statement as he is a super quiet, gentle, laid back type of horse that is going to suit any rider. Not to mention he is very friendly as well! Hondo can do a variety of things from pulling carriages, to ranch work or trail rides. He has been on camping trips, been ridden in several states and has been ridden by all ages of beginners. When out on the ranch or going down the trails he will cross creeks, ditches, logs and navigate rough rocky areas. He is safe in traffic safe whether that be trucks or cars. He’s been ridden around the ranch, checked cows and rode fences. Hondo moves very smoothly, as he has a nice jog, his lope is smooth as well and he lopes nice circles on a loose rein! Hondo is blue but he will never make you blue and he is sure to be your new best friend! We can set up transportation anywhere in the US and look forward to working with you.
