If your confidence levels are low and you have had nothing but bad luck with you other horses… just say goodbye to those days because Ashton is going to fix all of that! Ashton is a beautiful grey/dun Gelding that is very stocky built, he is 5 years old, is standing 15hh and he has the coolest tiger stripes on his legs and dorsal stripe down his back! He is 3/4 Quarter Horse and 1/4 Percheron Ashton has completed the natural horsemanship program and he is very friendly and loves attention!! He knows some tricks as well as he will lay down on command. Ashton has done it all from being ridden by small children down the highways to being ridden around the ranch, checked cows, rode fences and cruised the trails. He has been used at brandings and drug calves to the fire and has been pasture roped off of as well. He is a laid back type of guy that will just plod along down the trails with no hesitation and not in a hurry. He has been on camping trips and has been ridden by all ages of riders from 6 to 86 that guy will be safe and easy to ride. When out on the ranch or going down the trails he will cross creeks, ditches, logs and navigate rough, rocky areas. He is safe in traffic whether that be trucks or cars. He walks on a loose rein, has a nice jog, his lope is slow and collected plus he lopes very nice circles on a loose/draped rein! Our kids have ridden him bareback around our arena, taken him bareback down the trails and through the creeks… this horse is the ultimate family horse! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey. He is athletic and would be a great horse to put under English tack to go over the rails with. He pastures well with others and rides the same after time off. Ashton is one that the whole family will love, he will be perfect for the guest to ride as he will build his riders confidence, with a personality that will make him everyone’s best friend!
