Description:
Our established family farm, feedlot, and ranch is seeking a dependable, hard-working individual to join our dedicated team. This is a demanding role with duties that can vary day to day depending on the season and what needs done that day.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be involved in a diverse range of daily and seasonal tasks, including:

Cattle Operations:

Feed truck driving to ensure consistent and accurate nutrition for our feedlot cattle.

Spotting and doctoring sick cattle within the feedlot, requiring a keen eye and attention to animal health.

Moving and handling livestock across the ranch using both horses and ATVs.

Farming and Maintenance:

General farming duties as needed.

Operating Haying equipment in the summer, and driving silage trucks during fall harvest.

Maintaining irrigating equipment - mostly pivot irrigation.

Building, repairing, and maintaining fencing.

General ranch maintenance and upkeep of facilities and grounds.

Basic mechanical work and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential: Proven dependability and a strong work ethic.

Essential: Ability to work long hours and tolerate all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).

Preferred:

Experience operating farm equipment and heavy machinery.

Experience with cattle handling (both on horseback and ATV).

Experience spotting and doctoring sick cattle.

Welding and fabrication skills are a significant plus.

A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a strong plus.
