Description:
Buddy is a 5 yr old crossbred grade quarter horse gelding that stands 14.3 hands. He is dark buckskin in the summer months and dark seal brown in the winter. He is a very friendly gentle guy that anyone that knows how to ride could get along with. He has been a ranch and trail horse his whole life doing all the ranch chores like pasture doctoring and pushing cows around. He will pull anything you can latch onto. He has a good one hand, neck rein and has all the proper buttons on him. He will step to his correct leads both directions and will lope nice circles. He will side pass to open and close gates and has a pretty good turnaround. He is trained to let you get on him off of a step or fence, simply Smooch to him and he will side pass over and make it easy for you to get on. He crosses water and all the trail obstacles and is a pleasure to ride outside. he is not buddy or barn sour and is use to riding off by himself and is the kind that will go all day and give you everything he’s got. He is a fun little gelding to ride that is fast walking and snappy when you need him to be but always quiet and gentle. He has absolutely no buck in him and is very easy to bathe, shoe, and haul. He will jump in the trailer with no problem and back out like a gentleman. This is a stout made guy with a lot of shape and bone. He’s got a big thick, wavy mane and a thick tail that drags the ground. this is a very nice young gelding at the start of his career that would make someone a great all around using Horse. Whether you want to take him to hunting camp this fall or back to the ranch, he is safe sound and ready to go to work. he is not an arena show horse by any stretch, but has been a working horse his whole life.
