Our team is dedicated to providing top-tier hunting experiences with exceptional service, professionalism, and hospitality in the field. Big Chino Outfitters is seeking a reliable and experienced Camp Cook to prepare hearty, quality meals for clients and guides during hunting seasons. The ideal candidate will thrive in a rustic camp setting, manage meal planning and prep with limited resources, and help maintain a comfortable, welcoming camp atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: • Plan, prepare, and serve three meals daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner) for guides and clients (typically 6–12 people). • Create menus that fit the schedule of early mornings and long hunting days. • Manage food inventory, supplies, and kitchen organization. • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe cooking area at all times. • Prepare meals in a camp or remote setting (propane stove, grill, smoker, or camp kitchen). • Accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests when possible. • Assist with general camp duties when needed (clean-up, organization, guest assistance). • Work closely with the outfitter and guides to align meal times with hunting schedules. Qualifications: • Previous experience as a camp cook, ranch cook, or in food service preferred. • Ability to cook in a rustic or off-grid environment with limited kitchen equipment. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Positive attitude, team-oriented, and flexible with changing schedules. • Must be self-sufficient, dependable, and capable of working in a remote outdoor setting. • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. • Must be able to lift 40+ lbs and work in various weather conditions. Compensation & Schedule: • Seasonal Position: August–December (with potential for repeat seasons). • Compensation: Based on experience (includes meals, lodging, and gratuities potential). $700-$1000 per week plus Tips • Location: Northern & Central Arizona hunting camps.
