Not only is he beautiful, but Shiner is gentle, very well broke, and so much fun to ride. You couldn’t ask for a better horse to ride on the ranch or out on the trails. Shiner is a 13 year old palomino gelding, 15hh and nicely built with a pretty head and a kind eye, and a white mane and tail. He is AQHA registered as “Shining Tari Badger” and very well bred, by an own son of Shining Spark and out of a granddaughter of Peppy San Badger. He has been used on the ranch, taken on multi-day trail rides, has been roped off of out in the pasture, started tracking calves, and has carried the flag and dabbled in drill team. Shiner is quiet and very good minded, not getting spooked or scared easily. He has had quite a bit of training and is an absolute pleasure to ride. He rides on a loose rein, never going any faster than you ask him to but willing to step it up when asked, and has an excellent handle and a good stop. Shiner is good on both leads, will sidepass, and work a gate. He has plenty of athletic ability and could make a performance horse, but is also happy just being a pleasure horse. He crosses water with no problem and is very sure footed. Shiner has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and has excellent ground manners. He will ride out alone as well as with a group, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group while riding. Shiner has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it.
