Raised and lightly started by Road to the Horse Champion Mike Major, Shining Lil Stik is a 9-year-old stallion by Shining Lil Nic and out of Black Hope Stik (by Smart Whiskey Doc). His sire was a standout cow horse with $159,728 in earnings, multiple NRCHA major event titles, and 142 AQHA points. His dam added $35,720 and 101.5 AQHA points in versatility and reined cow horse competition.

While Shining Lil Stik is not a riding horse, he is extremely gentle, easy to handle, and pasture-breeds mares with ease. Over the past two years, he has sired 10 foals, all noted for their athleticism and good minds. In total, he has produced 21 foals across six crops, including an AQHA point-earner and breakaway roping money-earner.

He is 5-panel negative, sound, and built right—pretty-headed, well balanced, and carrying the kind of presence he consistently passes on. He has not been ridden in several years, so we are unsure if he is sound to ride, but he is sound with no special care in the pasture.
