This is NOT a full-time job, but a meaningful position for someone who values nature, animals, and a quiet lifestyle with supplemental income. Daily Horse Care Responsibilities: Feed 3 horses twice daily (morning and evening) Lead horses to and from pasture Muck stalls and clean pastures Occasionally clean hooves as needed Refill pasture water bins as needed Repair fences as needed Shovel snow from stable runs during winter as needed Other Property Caretaker Duties: Minimum of 12 hours per month “may” include the following tasks: Plow driveway and remove snow from decks Stain deck and house exterior (assisted by owner) Perform minor handyman repairs Cut down dead trees and branches (not required for hiring but is a preferred skill) Assist with gardening and seasonal upkeep (weed whacking, pulling weeds) Other Everyone brings something unique, and we’re happy to consider a variety of skills that may benefit the ranch. If you have talents beyond the listed tasks we’d love to hear about it. Compensation: $300/month minimum pay Free, fully equipped private apartment included Additional work beyond the 12 monthly hours Property caretaker duties will be negotiated fairly Apartment Amenities: Cable TV and STARLINK internet Washer/dryer Ample closet space Comfortable mattress, sheets, and towels Access to a Kawasaki Mule for chores Large workshop building available for hobbies or storage Requirements: EXPERIENCE WITH HORSE HANDLING GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION TIMELY COMMUNICATION VIA TEXTING NO SMOKING, NO VAPING NO PET, NO EXCEPTION We will prefer applications from anyone who already lives in Colorado, or has family in Colorado. We’re looking for someone who’s tidy, courteous, upbeat, and dependable — someone who communicates clearly, takes pride in their work, and is physically capable of light outdoor tasks.
