Once again we find ourselves WITHOUT any interns heading into this fall to assist with halter breaking our 2025 foals. We started last March with hiring 5 interns for May-Aug and May-Dec and for various reasons they are no longer here. Our daughter is expecting baby #3 in November and will only be able to assist for a little longer and will stay on maternity leave until spring 2026. Without assistance to halter break we will be discounting prices to get our foals moved on to new homes. We are super proud of our 2025 foals and very proud of many of our stallions. This pricing will have them vaccinated, boostered, dewormed, handled 2 times (maybe more), weaned and eating well for 2 weeks before travel. Our standard 10% discount for multiple or repeat buyers will still stand. You may find these foals in their own albums on Facebook and our website. Our most recent pictures are already on our website, Facebook and RWAs. We will provide additional videos of the stallion groups as a whole upon request. Jacks Our Bartender has been declining, and we will soon be preg checking his mares that pastured with him this summer. Could be that these 2025s are his last offspring. His bloodline will remain in our program through his daughters and a 2024 stallion prospect we have retained. Travel is available leaving Sept 25th from North Dakota headed south to Texas and can meet along Hwy 83. Travel is also available to Dillon MT in October. Born 5-5-25. Some years we do a fun theme for names. This year we have chosen movie themes for our different stallions. Top Gun Whiskey foals will be named after the Top Gun Call Signs from the original 1986 movie. Next year we will do similar call signs from the 2022 movie. Our other stallions will have Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit themed names. This colt is named Bilbo as in Bilbo Baggins from the Hobbit. Bilbo was a Hobbit of The Shire in the Third Age. He was hired by Gandalf to aid Thorin and Company in the Quest of Erebor, over the course of which he became a bearer of the One Ring and fought in the Battle of Five Armies. ‘’Bilbo” is a bay roan stallion with no white on him. We bought his mama, Miss Sweet Baron aka Jam as a wonderful addition to our program. In the past we have had some nice older Two Eyed Jack/Pitzer bred mares that have niched really well with our Paddys Irish Whiskey stallions. With those mares aging we spent the fall of 2016 researching and searching for replacement females that we felt would really step in and complement our program and this filly’s dam is totally bred to the hilt in Two Eyed Jack, Red Baron Bell and Pitzer bred lines. We love the Blondys Dude on the bottom of her pedigree as well. Jam’s sire is Two ID Sweet Jack who was born in 1994. He himself was an AQHA World Show Qualifier four times and has shown in calf roping, heading and heeling. He is an AQHA Performance Champion, has his ROM and has 330.5 points. Sweet Jack is a son of two-time world champion Two ID Bartender making Miss Sweet Baron a granddaughter of both him and Mr Baron Red. Her first foal, 2017 Sweet Watch Chic was on our ranch and had a great first foal but both have since been sold! Her 2019 foal, Rajah Reed JW, went with a repeat buyer to Texas. Her 2020 foal, Paddys Gin Dallas JW, was with a repeat buyer but since sold to a family who loves him. Her 2021 foal, Paddys Gin Moss JW, went with a repeat customer in NV. We kept her 2022 filly, Paddys Gin Surf JW. Her 2023 filly, Paddys Gin Ruby JW, went to join her full brother in Iowa. 2024 red roan colt, Paddys Gin Pluto JW, is with a repeat buyer in NE. This mare produces very well for us and her foals with Tex are a very consistent cross. Bilbo’s sire is TRR Paddys Texas Gin. This is Tex’s 17th foal crop. He puts very thick and muscular foals on the ground with very nice muscle expression on them as well as a lot of athleticism and as they develop, they have a lot of vigor. The oldest ones have been started under saddle by various buyers and we are hearing good things from all of them. The Paddys Irish Whiskey horses are making a name for themselves in everything from cutting to cowhorse events to roping horses and are very versatile—Tanquery Gin, Doc O’Lena, Docs Starlight, Poco Tivio, Peppy San Badger. His daughters, when bred to current barrel stallions are producing 1D and 2D barrel horses with other owners. We would expect Bilbo to have athletic ability with a nice disposition to perform in or out of the arena. We would expect him to mature out to 14.2-14.3 hands. Tex is his sire so he could be 50/50 HERDA Carrier. Bilbo will be tested. Foal is eligible for the Iowa Quarter Horse Association Ranch Horse Futurity.
