YEAR ROUND Farm and Cattle Ranch Employee



We are currently seeking a general purpose, year round farm and cattle ranch employee. Individual will be the only employee for a small cattle operation located 15 miles north of Emmett, Idaho. Please take note, this is NOT a cowboy position!



Personal qualities we are looking for in this individual:



- Self starter. Able to work effectively and efficiently without direct full-time supervision

- Neat, organized and takes pride in the quality of the work product

- Honest, responsible and attentive to details

- Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions



Day-to day duties will include:



- Fence maintenance and new fence construction. Welding proficiency required with experience with pipe fitting and pipe welding preferred.

- Land management to include weed control, mowing, etc.

- Irrigation and water management of multiple private reservoirs, irrigation ponds and water lines, siphon tubes, irripods and canvas dams

- General maintenance including welding, tractor work and building upkeep

- Light mechanic work including changing oil and filters, maintaining hydraulic hoses and greasing and lubricating machinery

- Cattle work including feeding hay in the winter, helping processing cattle and ensuring cattle have water



Compensation



- $25+ per hour DOE. Position also includes a well maintained 3 bedroom, 1 bath site-built home in a private and picturesque setting.



Special Notes



- The ranch is located in a relatively isolated location only accessible by 9+ miles of dirt roads.

- The cattle work portion of the position is VERY minimal outside of winter
